Brian Desfosses specializes in the brokering of the loans for Glenstone properties, outside investor properties, as well as managing the renovations of the company’s properties.

He was born and raised in Connecticut. He received his Associates degree in Nuclear Engineering in 1996 from Three Rivers College (Norwich, CT) and a Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering and Business Management from University of Connecticut in 1999. He worked various engineering positions from 1994 through 2017 when he left engineering and pursued real estate full time.

In 2012, he and Chris DiPreta started D&D Home Innovations and flipped their first property in 2013. Once that property was sold they purchased two more properties to flip with the proceeds. They continued for the next three years flipping properties and in 2015 they purchased their first rental property together. D&D purchased five rental properties of which they renovated, leased up and refinanced. Chris and Brian performed a lot of the general contract work themselves and brought in licensed contractors for the HVAC, electrical and plumbing work. This was a slower process than hiring everything out but it helped them understand what it takes to renovate properties and gave them more profit when they sold to purchase more property.

In 2016, Brian Barbosa partnered together with Chris and Brian and they created what is now known today as Glenstone. Since then, Glenstone has been focused on purchasing, renovating, refinancing, managing, and selling of residential multi- family real estate throughout the State of Connecticut.

In addition to running the contracting side of the business, in 2021, Glenstone began a lending division of the company which Brian leads to offer competitive real estate investment loans for residential and commercial real estate investors. Since 2015, he has been involved in over 300 real estate transactions, currently has ownership in over 100 units throughout Connecticut, and is a co-founder of Glenstone Lending & Real Estate Services which provides Property Management, Real Estate Brokerage, and Lending Services.

One of Brian’s passions is traveling with his wife of over 25 years. There is so much of the world to see and so little time to explore it. Real estate investing has given them the opportunity to travel to places they dreamed about.
